What we remember about each document
Six plain facts, taken off the page and kept with the file.

- The names on the document, spelled the way the document spells them.
- What it is worth
- Amounts, rates and deposits, and what each one is for.
- When it starts and when it ends
- The dates written on the page, not the day you uploaded it.
- What runs out
- Renewals, expiry dates and notice periods, so nothing lapses quietly.
- What somebody has to do
- The promises made in the text, said back to you in plain words.
- What it points at
- The other documents it names, so a folder reads as a chain instead of a pile.
Finding it again
Search every word of every page, or ask a plain question — which leases end this year? — and get the documents back with the line that answers it.
Sharing, and taking it all back out
Give one person one folder and nothing else. Export everything whenever you want, in the shape you put it in. Your archive is never held hostage.
Kept for as long as you keep it
Nothing is deleted behind your back, and re-reading a page never throws the old one away. What stays is your decision.

You pay by the page. A page we have already read costs nothing to upload again, and the pages you buy do not expire while your account is open.

A deeper read — the obligations in the text and which state's law applies — costs one extra page each, and only when you ask for it.
10 GB of storage is included; above that it is $3 a month for each 50 GB. Keep the originals in your own drive instead and storage costs nothing at any size.
